Clarifying Cultural Differences: A Message to My International Friends

This post is directed to my friends of other nationalities and cultures different from Egyptian and Arabian culture.

Therefore, I prefer to speak in English so that everyone can understand what I am saying, no matter how different the languages are.

In this account, I have my Egyptian friends and some Arabs from the same culture who can understand the types of pranks and jokes that I share on this page, which may only be understood by Egyptians and some Arabs (and not all Arabs!), so they don'y find any problem with it.

During the recent period, I have noticed that sometimes some posts are misunderstood by my new foreign friends from different cultures and languages, and they some times think it's racist, judgmental, or iclude hatred towards a certain group of people.

I wanted to clarify that: the classical Arabic language, which has a serious nature, is very different from the Egyptian Arabic language, which has a sarcastic character, even in some serious situations, which is difficult even for some Arabs to understand sometimes.

Therefore, I invite all of foreign friends to follow my new official account "Leon Sahyoun", as I often post on it in English or in classical Arabic, which is easy to translate and understand for non-Arabic speakers, by the way soon I will delete this account, Osama.

I don't have grudge for anyone. I love everyone in a foolish way sometimes, perhaps I only hate Sisi and those oppressors who support him in torturing Egyptians.

When I shared this post below about fat people, it was as a joke, and also when I mentioned bodybuilding geeks. Intuitively, no sane person would hate to see another person happy, and all the friends who interacted with the post simply realize that, so the majority of the reaction on the post was haha.

My dear mum is a bit fat. How can I hate fat people?!! Me too was fat one day.. Dudes, don't be so serious like that, I'm not judgmental, now you are. 😃
